It is a wonderful opportunity for students to build an ROV of their own and compete with other schools. Each year a "real life" scenario is developed, and students must build a Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle that can accomplish specific tasks designed to challenge students to think "outside the box". If you think your school might like to participate next year, contact the &lt;a href="http://www.marinetech.org/"&gt;MATE Center &lt;/a&gt;in Monterey California.
